To qualify as a Computer Instructor/ Consultant one must earn a four-year college diploma majoring in communication and computer science.
He should have advanced knowledge about Lotus, Excel, Corel, Microsoft and other computer applications.
He should also possess excellence in communication skill.
This is being required as his role is not only to develop the programs best suited for the business but he must also be able to explain how to use the programs to the staff.
He must also have solid background on how analysis techniques and procedures in order to teach the business owners how the programs are being used.
He should also have a sense of professionalism as he is being required to attend the meetings and be ready for the presentation promptly.
He should also know how to coordinate and implement instructions in an orderly fashion.
He needs to set-up the meeting area and cleans it afterward.
Many small business owners send their staff to a community college where they can learn from a certified Computer Instructor.
This is cheaper and the staff can learn after work hours instead of using their work schedule.
In other cases however, the Computer Instructor may be required by the small business owners to come to their office and teach their staffs.
The business may need the staff to gain the actual experience while they are still doing their normal office works.
This set-up is helpful so that the business owners can determine immediately if the program is working to their company's advantage and for the Computer Instructor to make adjustment or change the program if needed.
